VBR Rave: Earthwise Beauty
As a beauty blogger, I get the opportunity to try a TON of vegan skincare products (love love LOVE what I do), but there are a few beauty brands that hold an extra special place in my heart because they’re on a whole other level of awesome. One of those close-to-my-heart brands is Earthwise Beauty (100% vegan, raw, non-GMO, and cruelty-free). Back, like way way back in 2007 when my blog we über new, Earthwise Beauty was one of the first companies I wrote about. *flick a tear* :’) (My baby, VBR, is almost 9 years old – can you believe?!) Anywhoo, this brand is super pure (unrefined & unprocessed), all-natural, handcrafted, uniquely formulated, and highly effective. Everything looks and smells beautiful, too! 🙂
Some recent Earthwise Beauty goodies I got to try:
Marigold Fields: Organic Face Moisturizer, $50 – This incredibly gentle and fast-absorbing cream gel at first glance and feel appears to be a light moisturizer—but nuh uh, it packs a seriously awesome hydrating punch (highly recommend for mega dry skin). It contains rockstar ingredients like jojoba oil, radiant-orange calendula petals double infused in extra-virgin olive oil, sweet-smelling Roman chamomile oil, and the highly therapeutic pracaxi oil sustainably extracted from the pods of the pracaxi tree in the Amazon jungle. Say what?! AMAZE. It’s also supposed to help heal scars and skin discolorations. Word. And you know how important smellies are to me… this concoction smells like absolute heaven. We’re talkin’ passion fruit, pineapple, bananas, guava, chamomile flowers, and a touch of blue lotus. LOVE. ♥
Green Leaves and Co. Organic Facial Oil for Acne-Prone Skin, $38 – Hear, hear acne-prone beauties! This organic, super-gentle, healing acne potion is chock full of all Mother Nature’s skin-lovin’ yummies to help you blast blemishes and get on with yo’ badass self. I know the idea of rubbing oil on oily skin might seem counterintuitive, but it it totally works – you have to trust me on this. It’s made with noncomedogenic, fully absorbent, antimicrobial coconut and jojoba oils – designed to balance your skin’s oil production and reduce blemishes without drying out your skin. It has a refreshing earthy scent and contains anti-aging and anti-acne violet leaf absolute, French Provencal lavender, rosemary verbenone, and violet. Love the built-in applicator brush, too!
Black Tea SPF 20+ Organic Face Recovery Cream, $40 – SPF is everything these days, and it’s hard to find amazing ones that don’t leave big ol’ white streaks behind (am I right?). This SPF is a moisturizing anti-aging cream that aims to reduce brown spots and fight wrinkles by using organic almond and apricot oils and antioxidant-rich black tea, vitamin A, active vitamin C, and natural-origin vitamin E. This quick-absorbing, scent-free face cream with SPF is safe (for children and babies, too), non-toxic, water-resistant, coral-reef safe, and biodegradable. YASSSSSSSS!
